In St. Tammany Parish, keeping our neighborhoods safe and strong takes more than tradition—it takes forward-thinking leadership. That’s why Council Chairman Joe Impastato introduced the commonsense Ordinance No. #3979 aimed at responsibly managing transitional housing. Focused on safety, accountability, and community standards, the policy sets clear expectations for properties housing a high concentration of registered sex offenders. By putting safeguards in place, we’re protecting the character of our neighborhoods while planning smartly for the future. Joe’s approach is rooted in collaboration—ensuring St. Tammany stays a place where families thrive, neighbors look out for one another, and progress happens with purpose.
